Orange County has received encouraging news. The county is a finalist for a possible $5 billion
ethylene plant at Chevron Phillips. To try and land the project, the West Orange-Cove and
Bridge City school districts are offering a 10-year tax abatements. This project would land
more than 3,500 construction jobs and 10 permanent jobs.
