Beaumont police are investigating an auto/pedestrian fatality. It happened just past 11:30
last night in the 7400 block of Eastex Freeway. Witnesses say the victim was laying in the
northbound lanes of traffic when he was struck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The
vehicle that struck him left the scene. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Southeast
