A man and a woman are jailed after fleeing from Beaumont police. Sunday morning, police
responded to a suspicious vehicle at Star Bowling. When police approached, the driver sped
off. The fleeing vehicle struck a car and signal pole at Concord and East Lucas. The driver,
28-year Ariel Heathcoe of Beaumont, attempted to flee on foot. She was quickly apprehended.
The passenger, 24-year old Blake Thomassee of Beaumont, surrendered at the scene. Heathcoe
is charged with evading in a vehicle, evading on foot, possession of a controlled substance,
unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, failure to identify, and a parole warrant. Thomassee
is charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm by a
felon, prohibited weapon, and a pardon and parole warrant. Both were transported to the
Jefferson County Jail.
