Jefferson County has issued a beach advisory for Sea Rim State Park-East Beach. Water
samples on Monday were found to have elevated levels of the Enterocooccus bacteria. The
samples exceeded the 104 colonies that is considered to be unsafe. Lamar University will
continue to test and monitor the water and based upon their results, further advisories will
be issued as necessary.
