Gosh! Am I losing it or what? Mardi Gras has come and gone. (A) I had no King cake. Not one sliver. I wore only one strand of beads for one night. No Mardi Gras parties but I did emcee Taste of the Triangle on fat Tuesday. No invites to any of the black tie affairs for the 18th year in a row. I even forgot to play Professor Longhair’s Mardi Gras in New Orleans. What’s happening to me? Must be age. I know. I’ll just take the train down to the big easy like I do every year in April and Annette and I will pretend it’s still Mardi Gras. By jingo’s, that will do it. For all of you who did all that stuff…..thank you. I didn’t want it to pass everyone by. Let the good times roll…..but only after 40 days.
