Federal investigators say the black box recovered from the scene of last month's cargo plane
crash indicates the crew lost control of the jet. The National Transportation Safety Board
reported yesterday that, despite the low quality of the cockpit voice recorder's audio, crew
communications seem to reveal a loss of control 18 seconds before the end of the recording. The
NTSB is still studying 350 data points recorded by the plane's black box. Both devices were
recovered at the crash site in Trinity Bay off Anahuac.
