Testimony begins this morning at the Jefferson County Courthouse in the trial of a woman
accused of setting up attack on her estranged husband, who is a Port Arthur police officer.
Kelly Daws is charged with criminal activity. In 2016, her estranged husband was stabbed
multiple times at the Willow Lakes Apartments in Port Arthur. If convicted, she faces up
to 20 years in prison. Joal Riley is currently serving a seven year sentence for his involvement.
