A Hardin County man, that asked the court to assess his punishment, after pleading guilty
to aggravated assault, learned his sentence this morning. In October of 2015, Rolando
Calderillia broke into a Lumberton home and attacked his former girlfriend and her new
boyfriend with a machete. District Court Judge Steve Thomas has sentenced Calderillia to 20
years in prison for aggravated assault and 99 years for burglary of habitation.
