Orange County commissioners have appointed former County Judge Carl Thibodeaux to
replace County Judge Dean Crooks, who resigned. Judge Thibodeaux, who served as county
judge in Orange County from 1995 -2014, will serve the unexpired term of Crooks. Thibodeaux
will not run for the position when the term ends.
