Gas prices continue to go up. This morning’s average price in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area
is $2.49 a gallon, which is up a nickel from last week. The statewide average jumped eight
cents to $2.56 a gallon. This morning’s national average for a gallon of gas is $2.81, which
is up nine cents. These averages are compiled by Triple A Texas.
