The DPS reports a 12-year old girl died in a one-vehicle wreck in Jasper County early this
morning. A pickup, driven by 17-year old Jarvis Samuel Wilson of Jasper, was traveling
south on County Road 120 when the pickup left the road and struck a tree. Wilson was
transported to the hospital with serious injuries. A 15-year old passenger was treated and
released from the hospital. The 12-year old, from Orange, was transported to Jasper Memorial
Hospital where she died.The wreck is under investigation.
