A Mexican national appeared in a Beaumont federal courtroom yesterday where he pleaded
guilty to unlawful reentry by a deported alien. 49-year old Luis Garcia-Torres was arrested
this past January in Orange County for driving while intoxicated. It was learned Garcia-Torres
had been deported following multiple charges in the United States. He faces up to 10 years
in federal prison. A sentencing hearing is pending.
