A traffic stop in Beaumont Tuesday night ended with two men going to jail. Beaumont police
stopped a car that was driving near Delaware and Eastex Freeway with no lights. Police noticed
an AR rifle between the driver and passenger. Promethazine, marijuana, and a mask were also
found in the car. 19-year old Javonte Rhodes and 19-year old Isaiah Brewer, both of Beaumont,
were arrested for possession of marijuana. Brewer was also charged with possession of a
dangerous drugs. Additional charges could follow.
