Beaumont police have arrested a man for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police
were called to the 5900 block of Bedford this morning and found a man inside an
apartment that had been shot several times. He was transported to the hospital by Beaumont
EMS. 24-year old Sherman Wycoff Jr. is jailed in connection with the shooting, which occurred
at the apartment of Wycoff’s ex-girlfriend.
