A 45-year old Kentucky man, believed to be a transient, is in the Hardin County Jail facing
multiple charges in connection with attacking a Sour Lake police officer last night at a
convenience store at the intersection of Highways 105 & 326. The officer, 59-year old
William McKeon, suffered severe head injuries and was airlifted to the hospital. The
suspect, who stole the officer patrol unit before ditching it, was arrested this morning in
the 6400 block of Highway 326 in Kountze following an overnight search.
