Orange County commissioners have accepted the resignation of Precinct 3 Commissioner John
Gothia. Interim County Judge Carl Thibodeaux has appointed former Bridge City Mayor Kirk
Roccaforte to fill out the unexpired term of Gothia. Judge Thibodeaux has also announced he is
resigning. Gothia resigned as commissioner in hopes of being appointed interim county judge.
Roccaforte will be sworn in as commissioner tomorrow evening at 6:30.
