The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a Beaumont man for crashing his car into a
Beaumont police unit seriously injury the officer. On July 3rd, Sgt. Cody Foote was responding
to a call on McLean Street when his car was struck by a car passing other vehicles leaving a party.
The driver of the car fled the scene on foot. 22-year old Travon Warren Gipson is charged with
accident involving injury or death. Authorities are still searching for Gipson.
