A Beaumont man is jailed in Hardin County facing multiple charges. Early this morning,
Lumberton police received a call of a burglary in progress in the 500 block of North Village
Creek Parkway. An officer noticed the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on East Walton
Road. The vehicle, which was stolen, fled into Silsbee on Highway 96 with speeds reaching over
100 MPH. The pursuit ended in the Town Bluff area on FM 92 in Tyler County. 24-year old
Jordan Redmond Higurea was turned over to Lumberton police. He has been charged with
evading, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and possession of methamphetamine. His bonds
total $100,000. Additional charges could follow.
