The attorney for a Texas Gulf Coast black man is pushing for Galveston police to release body
camera footage of his arrest. Attorney Benjamin Crump said yesterday that it should be up to the
people to decide if white mounted police officers acted correctly by leading Donald Neely
through town while handcuffed. Crump believes releasing the video will show the department's
character and transparency. Neely was arrested August 3rd for trespassing and his family says
he was dealing with mental illness. The Texas Rangers are looking into the arrest. Galveston's
police chief, who is black, has defended the officers, but noted the policy would be changed
