A chase that started in Orange County yesterday ended with a crash in Louisiana. Pinehurst
Chief of Police Fred Hanauer was attempting to serve a warrant in the 2400 block of Orange
when the suspect, 30-year old Phillip Price, sped off. The pursuit ended when the suspect’s
vehicle hit an 18-wheeler near Vinton. The suspect, who had a warrant for possession of a
controlled substance, is also facing evading charges. He suffered serious injuries in the crash.
