Police are investigating an auto/pedestrian fatality. It happened just past 2:30 this morning on
the Eastex feeder road near Cole Street in Beaumont. The driver of an 18-wheeler told police
he was heading southbound when the pedestrian walked in front of his truck. The pedestrian
was transported to the hospital wherehe was pronounced dead.
