The average price for a gallon of gas in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area dropped a penny over
the past week to $2.22. A year ago we were paying $2.60 a gallon. This morning’s statewide
average is down a penny to $2.27. The national average stayed at $2.57 a gallon. These averages
are from Triple A Texas.
