No change in the price for a gallon of gas in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area over the
past week. The average price this morning is $2.33. A year ago on this date we were
paying $2.61.The statewide average is down three cents to $2.36 a gallon. This
morning’s national average is $2.62, which is down four cents.
