Beaumont police are investigating an auto/pedestrian fatality. A 72-year old woman
was struck and killed by a vehicle in the 2800 block of Washington early yesterday
morning. Witnesses told detectives she had just approached them in the parking lot
asking for money. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
