The Beaumont Independent School District is aware of a video that was circulating on an
incident yesterday at Homer Drive Elementary School in which a woman is seen removing her
child from the lunch room at striking him several times with what appears to be a belt. The
district is in the process of evaluating the incident and there is an ongoing criminal investigation
regarding the matter. The district stands strongly against the behavior exhibited by the parent
that occurred at Homer Drive. CPS was contacted.
