Former southeast Texas State Representative Mike “Tuffy” Hamilton has passed away.
Hamilton represented southeast Texas in the state legislature from 2003-2012. He owned
Tuffy’s Restaurant in Mauriceville for years and most recently operated Hamilton’s in mid-
Jefferson County and The West in Beaumont. Arrangements are pending. Mike “Tuffy”
Hamilton was 58 years old.
