Gas prices in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area are down a penny from last Friday. This morning’s
average price is $2.22 a gallon. A year ago the average price was $2.36 a gallon. This morning’s
statewide average is $2.25, which is down three cents. The national average for a gallon of
gas according to Triple A Texas is $2.60, which is down two cents.
