A San Antonio company is the choice of the U.S. Corps of engineers to create a 27-mile levee
floodwall system along the southeast Texas gulf coast. Jacobs-Stantec will design and build the
Orange County Coastal Risk Management project, known as Orange for short. The two billion
dollar project will extend from Sabine Pass to Galveston Bay and will enhancethe area’s
preparedness for hurricanes and other natural disasters. The first seven segments in the
eight year project begins construction in 2022.
