The DPS reports a Newton County man was killed in a Sunday after wreck in Hardin County. 39-year old Gerrit Giles, of Call, was driving a Mack truck tractor semi-trailer south on Highway 69, near Old Loop Highway Road, when he traveled off the highway and crashed into an abandon building. Giles was pronounced dead at the scene.
