The Newton County grand jury has indicted a Newton man for murder. 41-year old John Michael
Peck is charged with t he November 2017 murder of Randy Holmes. The arrest of Peck capped
a 2 ½ year investigation. Peck, who is being held on a $1 million bond, was turned over by his
attorney.
