A one vehicle wreck has claimed the lives of two Newton County teens. The DPS reports a
car was traveling east at a high rate of speed on Highway 63 yesterday afternoon when the
driver, 18-year old Terrance Hunter of Werigate, lost control, struck a guardrail, and then
a tree. Hunter and his passenger, 16-year old Dewight Fowler of Burkeville, were both
pronounced dead at the scene.
