After speaking with state health officials, Jefferson County Judge Jeff Branick has declared a
disaster declaration for the county. This includes cancelling the upcoming South Texas State
Fair and shutting down the remainder of the Nederland Heritage Festival currently underway.
The fair was scheduled to begin on March 26th. Once again, the South Texas State Fair has been
cancelled.
