The U.S. Department of Health and Services, through the Health Resources and Services has
awarded nearly $6 million to 72 health centers in Texas stemming from the Coronavirus
Preparedness and Resources Supplemental Appropriations Act. The Gulf Coast Health Center
in Port Arthur is receiving just under $102,000 and the Triangle Area Network in Beaumont is
the recipient of just over $55,000. The funding is to address screening and testing needs, acquire
medical supplies, and boost telehealth capacity.
