Texas Land Commissioner George P Bush has announced the city of Silsbee has been granted
more than $718,800 in Tropical Storm Harvey recovery grants. The funding will be used to
improve flood and drainage facilities in the city of Silsbee. In a related story, Commissioner
Bush has announced more than $3.3 million is disaster recovery acquisitions for Hardin County
for approximately 30 homes located in a floodplain or repetitive flood areas in the county. Those
areas were overwhelmed by the storm.
