Triple A Texas is reporting lower gas prices. The average price in the Beaumont/Port Arthur
area dropped a dime over the past week to $1.81 a gallon. The statewide average is down
11 cents to $1.89. This morning’s national average for a gallon of gas is $2.05, which is down
12 cents from last Friday.
