A longtime Beaumont businessman has been identified as the second COVID-19 related death
in Southeast Texas. 70-year old Randy Flatau passed away Wedneday. Flatau, who had some
underlined health issues, operated Randy’s Fine Jewelers in the Oaks Shopping Center in
Beaumont. Last week, 54-year old Michael Westbrook, of Lumberton, who was band director at
Hardin-Jefferson High School, was the area’s first confirmed.
