Beaumont police have a man in custody in connection with a fatal stabbing. Police were called
to a disturbance this morning at the Seville Apartments in the 4300 of Crow Road. The stabbing
victim, 49-year old Chiquitha Young was transported to t he the hospital where she was
pronounced dead. The suspect, 30-year old Malcolm Lewis was transported to the Jefferson
County Correctional Facility and charged with murder
