+There are now 144 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the six Southeast Texas county region. 78 in Jefferson County, 31 in Hardin County, 29 in Orange County, 3 in Jasper County, 2 in Tyler County, and 1 in Newton County.There have been a total of 6 deaths.
+The 24-hour Southeast Texas Call Center remains in operation. Over 2,700 calls have been received at the center since it began operation of March 20th. A total of 650 tests have been conducting at the Jefferson County testing site and a total of 233 residents have been tested at the Hardin County site. Remember, you must call 409-550-2536 for a screening before you can be tested. Anyone arriving at a testing center without a code number from the call center will be turned away.

+If you have been tested, you must quarantine until your test results come back. There are reports of residents that have been tested and are exhibiting symptoms reporting to work or are going out into the community until they receive results.
+The Texas Supreme Court is delaying evictions until after the end of the month. Chief Justice Nathan Hecht signed the order today extending the original pause until at least May. Property owners may issue a writ of possession but it can not be posted on a property until May 7th. The original moratorium was supposed to expire in mid-April.
