+There are now 192 confirmed cases of COVI-19 in the six Southeast Texas county area. 101 cases have been reported in Jefferson County, 47 in Hardin County, 33 in Orange County, 6 in Jasper County, 4 in Tyler County, and 1 in Newton County. There have been 8 Coronoavirus related deaths.
+3,259 calls have been made to the Southeast Texas Call Center since it began operation on March 20th. 128 of those calls were made yesterday. A total of 1,338 people have been tested at the two testing sites. The call center number is 409-550-2536. You must call this number to be screened before you will be tested.

+County offices in Orange County will reopen this coming Monday, April 13th, with limited access and will be operating at their normal business hours. Citizens are encouraged to phone and email departments to minimize the walk in traffic to county offices. Phone numbers and emails can be found on the county’s website co.orange.tx.us. +Beaumont Animal Care is adjusting hours during the “Stay at Home” order. Appointments for adoptions, fosters, and reclaims will take place Monday-Friday between the hours of 10:00-4:30 and 10:00-4:00 on Saturdays. +Disaster survivors in Texas and three other states are getting three months of free rent to help during the coronavirus pandemic. FEMA has suspended payments for those living in temporary housing in Texas, along with California, Florida, and North Carolina. FEMA will notify tenants by mail their rent won't be due again until July 1st.
