Lamar University President Dr. Kenneth Evans is one of three finalists for Chancellor at
Southern Illinois University. Dr. Evans and the other two candidates, Austin A Lane, former
president of Texas Southern and Susan Stapleton of Western Michigan University, will begin
virtual interviews on April 16th. The position is expected to be filled by July 1st. Dr. Evans has
been president at Lamar since 2013.
