Beaumont police have released the name of a man that was killed in a one vehicle wreck
yesterday morning. 27-year old Lawrence Malveaux of Beaumont struck a concrete barrier
in a construction zone on Eastex Freeway, near Chinn Road. His vehicle caught fire. He died
at the scene. Initial reports are Malveaux was fleeing from a woman, who had caught Malveaux
trying to make contact with her 12-year old daughter. The investigation continues.
