One man is dead and another jailed following shooting in Beaumont. Police were called to
the 7700 block of Stonetown Road yesterday afternoon and found 33-year old Zachary Kapel,
of Beaumont, dead from a gunshot wound. 41-year old Shane Russell Jones, of Beaumont, was
arrested at the scene and booked into the Jefferson County Correctional Facility for murder. The
preliminary investigation has revealed there was an ongoing disturbance between the two men.
