We are paying more at the pump. Triple A Texas is reporting the average price for a gallon of
gas in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area is $1.66 a gallon, which is up two cents from last week.
A month ago we were paying $1.57 a gallon and a year ago the average price for a gallon was
$2.74. This morning’s statewide average is $1.66, which is up two cents. The national average
is up six cents to $2.03 a gallon
