Bridge City police are investigating the death of a 78-year old woman as a homicide. The body
of Janette Carney was found inside her apartment at the Citrus Cove Apartments on Charles
Avenue. Police went to the apartment after family members were unable to contact her. Anyone
with any information is asked to contact the Bridge City Police Department or Southeast Texas
