Texans collecting unemployment benefits will soon be required to prove they're actually looking for work. As of July 6th, the Texas Workforce Commission will reinstate the work-search requirement. People on unemployment will have to show they made at least three job searches a week. Nearly two-and-a-half-million Texans have filed unemployment claims since mid-March, about as many as are expected in four years. The Texas unemployment rate reached nearly 13-percent in April.
