There is a new sheriff in Orange County. Jimmy Mooney took his oath of office early yesterday
morning. He won his primary election in March and does not have a November opponent. He
replaces Keith Merritt, who retired early. Prior to being elected Orange County Sheriff, Mooney
served as a constable in the county for Precinct 4.
