Effective now everyone in the state of Louisiana over the age of eight is required to wear a mask
in public unless they have a medical exemption. The mandate went into place at Midnight after
Governor John Bel Edwards announced new restrictions over the weekend. Bars in the state are
now only open for curbside or to-go service, and indoor social gatherings are limited to a total of
50 people. The mask mandate applies both indoors and outdoors for those who are less than six-
feet away from someone they don't live with normally.
