Nearly 6,000 Jefferson County residents were left in the dark following yesterday evening’s
storm. The Caldwood area of Beaumont had over 1,400 outages. Entergy-Texas reported
extensive damage with down lines. It could be as late as 4:00 this afternoon before power
is fully restored.
