The 100 Club of Southeast Texas is assisting following Sunday morning’s fatal wreck involving
two Beaumont police officers. Club President Joe Penland says they were able to present a check
to the husband of fallen Officer Sheena Yarbrough Powell yesterday and additional funding will
be provided at a later date. Penland says with the newly created “Survivors Fund”, the will be
able to assist Officer Gabriel Fells, who was critically injured.
