Three people died and six others are hospitalized from possible carbon monoxide poisoning.
The fumes came from a generator being used at the Vida Vuh game room in the 700 block of
Ninth Avenue in Port Arthur. The three that died were shrimpers that were seeking shelter from
Hurricane Laura. Justice of the Peace Brad Burnett has ordered an autopsy.
